This team, these players are extraordinary.
They are special.
Liverpool is a team who has individuals who will turn up when needed big time.
Impact players all round the squad who secure wins.

Today it was Roberto Firmino, this was his 10th goal of the season!
What a cracking match, what a win for Liverpool.
Trent Alexander-Arnorld becomes the first defender in the history of the premier league to record 10 Assists consecutively in the 2nd season.
Liverpool are 40 games unbeaten in the league.
14 consecutive wins in a row now & a lead at the top with 16 points, a game in hand!

Wolves were never ever going to be easy.
They came in swinging, specially in the 2nd half, exploited Liverpool’s high-line continuously and earned their reward.
Traore ran havoc and yet Liverpool came up goods with a 2-1 win.
This team has players who always step up, and this time it was none other than, Dazzler Bobby Firmino.
What a finish from Bobby Firmino on his left foot into the left corner of Patricio’s goal!

Liverpool resolute, Mane’s injury blow & Minamino’s debut..

Liverpool & its supporters went into this game knowing that a draw would be an excellent result.
This just shows how good Wolves is & especially at their home.
Both teams started really good but it was Liverpool who took the lead through Henderson.
A great ball from Alexander-Arnold from the corner.
The match was at a good tempo by both the teams, end to end.
Wolves were trying to exploit Liverpool’s high-line, they played a 3-4-3 fluid formation to 3-4-1-2.

Salah had multiple chances to score but he somehow missed.
Firmino drifted into right wing in the first half and Salah moved to a central role because of the threat on the right wing from Wolves.
Problems for Liverpool started when Mane got injured, it definitely looked like a muscle injury and it has been confirmed by Klopp himself that it is muscular and not too serious.
All of us were really worried but thank goodness it is not serious.
Minamino came on for Mane, got his debut.
Minamino switched to the left wing and then more central with Firmino taking on the left wing.
As usual there were a lot of interchanges among the Salah, Firmino & Minamino.

There was a moment in the game in the first half.
Salah got loose and could have played Minamino in on an open goal but he opted to shoot only to get his shot blocked by Coady.
I love Salah but sometimes he gets too selfish & needlessly greedy.
I will never refrain from criticizing when something is wrong and right to be criticized.
Liverpool could have easily been 3-0 up by half-time.

2nd half was a different ball game.
Wolves were in for the hunt.
This game actually wasn’t the game for Minamino to play in.
This became his first game & what a tough one.
The pace & intensity to settle takes time.

Wolves put the screws hard on Liverpool..

In the second half, Klopp had to make some tweaks & so he did.
Ox switched to the left wing with Minamino dropping into midfield.
Salah had his shot saved by Patricio and then in the game had an opportunity to play Ox in who was open but he didn’t.
Salah took the shot which went wide.
Wolves began to dominate, the game became end to end and Wolves began to execute their plan exceptionally.
Stretched Liverpool and used the width brilliantly.
Adama Traore forced a brilliant save from Alisson and then Raul Jimenez did the same.
Wolves transition at times was absolutely beautiful to watch.
The way they broke Liverpool’s high-line was amazing.
They (Traore & Jimenez) have become one hell of a partnership.
Adama Traore is one hell of a player.
Damn that pace, trickery & crosses.
Amazing team.

Traore’s beautiful cross was brilliantly headed by Jiminez to equalize for Wolves.
Liverpool needed stability and Wolves weren’t allowing it, a draw for Liverpool for the first time looked good.
Klopp made a tweak again and sacrificed Ox for Fabinho.
It was the right call.
Liverpool needed defensive cover & more midfield stability.
A formation switch to 4-1-4-1.
Wolves were seriously pressuring Liverpool but Liverpool settled down.

Van dijk once again proved why he’s the world’s best defender.
Gomez was outstanding too.
Our fullbacks were not up to it today & they were badly exposed by Wolves.
It is understandable there are games when this happens, especially coming off from a game against the bitter rivals.
Liverpool’s games are always high intensity and at times players do feel it.
Game & player management has been the key for Liverpool & Jurgen Klopp has been outstanding at it.
Liverpool did look a bit fatigued but they did what they do best, GRIND OUT & WIN!

Bobby Firmino to the rescue..

One thing about Liverpool we all know is, no matter what happens, they will always be a threat going forward.
And this was once again showed tonight.
Liverpool’s potency in attack and their prowess of making & scoring goals proved why they are the best.
Just when it looked that Wolves were really in it in the second half, especially after their goal.
There was a sense of feeling a draw would not be bad but it wasn’t to be!
Liverpool began to get composure, settled down the game.
They excellently soaked the pressure from Wolves.
Firmino forced a good save from Patricio, it looked a certain goal but Patricio came off his line quick and saved it.
And moments later a cute through ball from Henderson was played into the feet of Firmino who made an excellent run getting away from the defender.
And what a finish that was from Bobby Firmino, the dazzler.
On his left foot burying it vivaciously into the left top corner of Patricio’s goal.
Patricio could only watch.

Alisson & Patricio both of them made some huge saves.
Wolves played outstandingly well.
They were really really good.
But Liverpool is on a whole different level.
They did get the chance to have their equalizer in the added time of the 90th minute but Jota couldn’t keep his footing & flashed the ball across Liverpool’s net.
Traore & Jimenez made this chance for Wolves.

This was a game between two really good teams. WOW!
Wolves deserve all the praise they can get.
Amazing footballing team, amazing manager Nuno Espirito Santo.
A small squad and doing such a great job, last season & this season even better.
No team this season has caused Liverpool so much trouble like today & even at Anfield in the league.
I & many Liverpool supporters have not been worried this much as much as we were worried about Wolves.
More than the previous game with Manchester United.
Wolves are a team worthy of being in the European competition.

A great Liverpool performance overall!
My MAN Of The Match, Roberto “BOBBY” Firmino, the dazzler!
